About Us

  • Lindsay Olson, Psy D

Hi, I’m Dr. Lindsay Olson. I received my doctoral training in professional psychology from Antioch University Seattle. I completed an APA-accredited internship at the Huntsman Mental Health Institute in Salt Lake City, and a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology with the UC Davis Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. I also hold a graduate certificate in teacher training in independent schools from the Teton Science Schools. I have a varied background in science, adventure education, and teaching, which enriches my clinical practice.

As I work with clients and families, I attend to the variety of challenges they have encountered on their way to wellbeing. I view social, cultural, and historical contexts as important to both understanding these challenges and finding a way forward. I have enjoyed collaborating with caregivers of young children showing disruptive behavior, with teens grappling with their identity in the midst of anxiety and mood disorders, and with folx coming to terms with a history of trauma as they prepare for adulthood. My psychology training within inpatient, partial hospitalization, and community treatment settings broadens my perspective. The interventions I offer are informed by cognitive and behavioral principles, especially DBT, ACT, and parent training. I enjoy working with children as young as four, teens, young adults, and parents of all ages.

As a clinical social worker, I am passionate about supporting my clients in discovering & embracing their most authentic selves through rejecting harmful narratives & unnecessary suffering. Together, we can work on freeing yourself from overwhelming levels of self-doubt, shame, and people pleasing tendencies.

My favorite clients to work with are those in their 20s & 30s, who are longing to strengthen their self-advocacy skills, being kinder to themselves, and/or heal from sexual trauma. You’ll leave my office with the tools & skills for applying for that job, having those uncomfortable conversations, and embracing your true self.

When I am not working, you can find me puzzling, buying books to add to my collection of books I will never end up reading, having living room dance parties, and annoying my friends by non-stop singing. I love finding ways of connecting with my body and nourishing my body with pleasure. I’m a big fan of rest, boundaries, and rejecting hustle culture.

With over a decade long background in healing arts and movement arts modalities, I blend evidence-based therapy and intuitive practices to collaborate with my clients in achieving their therapy goals. Our bodies and minds hold untold stories. Through a mindful combination of cognitive and emotions focused therapy, movement, and creative expression, we can metabolize trauma and challenging experiences, to become truer, more actualized versions of ourselves.

Using cognitive and psychodynamic tools with somatic and expressive arts approaches, together we will expand your toolbox of skills and helpful coping strategies, as well as reach a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships. When working with clients I consider their social, cultural, and historical contexts, and welcome all layers of my clients’ identities, including intergenerational and ancestral traumas, spirituality, and mystical experiences.

I work with adults and teens of all backgrounds. Emphasizing self-empowerment and deep self-knowledge, I collaborate with my clients to increase balance and harmony in their lives. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, overwhelm, communication and self-expression, relationships, identity and neurodivergence, and am uniquely suited to support artists and creatives, as well as athletes and dancers, especially those struggling with body-image issues and high pressures relating to performance.

I especially enjoy supporting teens through growth, transformation, and life’s challenges. Having a safe compassionate space to explore all parts of ourselves I believe is key to a fulfilling relationship with oneself, others, and the world, and I am committed to providing that environment.
